Donations are to provide your own body unconditionally and without rewards to help educate and research in anatomy at medical and dentistry universities.
A person who is aware of "I want to use my body for medical and dentistry education and research after my death" will register the name in a university or an associated organization that I want to donate from my birth ("Register the donation"."See"), and when you die, the bereaved or stakeholders will be executed for the first time by providing the bodies to the university according to their will.

~ For the development of better doctors and dentists-
There are no times when the "medical ethics" is emphasized today, and the development of "good doctor" is strongly requested.A student trying to become a doctor / dentist starts studying medicine and dentistry, and in an "anatomy training", "I study with my body to become a better doctor or dentist.By learning with the wishes dedicated with the wish of "please, students will learn the knowledge of human body anatomy, and at the same time, will be grateful for the donation, responsibility and awareness to meet their expectations. At the point, I have a big mental education.
The biggest significance of the donation is to provide the body of medical education, and it is the foundation for training doctors and dentists with excellent knowledge and personality, and for the next generation through medical care. There is to stand up.However, medical care is not only by doctors and dentists.Modern medical care is called team medical care and is supported by many comedical professionals such as nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.Recently, there has been an anatomy training for those people’s education, and there is also a strong request from the comedical side.In order to further enhance the medical standard of Japan, a campaign to understand the donors has begun.

There is an era in which "anatomy training" is said to be the most important course in medicine and dentistry, but has a shortage of body required for this training and has hindered anatomy education.did.In particular, in the 1950s and 1940s, it was even said to be a crisis for medical education. From that time, one of the two students in medical universities and one body of four students at the dental university was one standard, but most of the universities nationwide met the standards. In extreme cases, there were some universities that were less than one -fifth of the standard.
Those who were worried about the situation that could be said to be the crisis of medical education, but I thought of a donation that I could use it a little, and the donation movement began when I was offered to the university. However, donation movements are important not only for the lack of educational body, but also as described above, as described in that they teach those who are doctors and dentists the necessary attitudes. Thus, the donor movements were supported by more people, the donations have gradually expanded, and the current development has been seen.

Currently, there are 62 donation group groups in Japan, from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south, the total number of registrants exceeds 315,641, and 152,795 have already donated (Oriwa. As of March 31, 4).Even with this, there was a major contribution to anatomy and research at medical and dentistry universities in Japan.
Recently, the number of registrants has been increasing, and the number of universities that can do all the training with donated bodies is increasing, but there are also universities with a small number of registrants due to differences in habits nationwide. On the other hand, many universities with a large number of registrants have temporarily suspended registration. In this way, the imbalance of the number of registrants for each university has become noticeable.
In the fall of 1974, the Japan Academic Council made a recommendation to the Prime Minister of the Cabinet and promoted the legislation on dedication registration. The realization of legislation is important by the government and the significance of the donation in medical education, and has an important meaning. With this recommendation, debate on donations began in the Diet, and from 1983, the Deleger was presented by the Minister of Education (currently the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology). The law on donation for the dedication was "in May 1982, and was enacted in the Diet, and was enacted on November 25 of the same year.

● Types of dissection and donation
There are mainly the following types of dissections:
1.Anatomy to examine the structure of the human body (normal dissection)
2.Anatomy to examine lesions immediately after death (pathological anatomy)
3.Anatomy to examine the cause of death of a dead body (forensic dissection or judicial / administrative dissection)

The above is directly related to the donation. It is said to be the basis of medicine and dentistry in normal dissection. This is the first "anatomy training" to be taken at the beginning of medical education.Unlike the disease -theretic dissection performed at the hospital immediately after his death, normal anatomy is performed in an anatomy classroom at a medical and dentistry university.
In order to raise a good doctor / dentist, it is absolutely necessary to enhance the education of "anatomy" to learn the structure of the whole body.
